Mount the feeder, fill the hopper, connect it in the free app, and wait for the first visitor. Setup takes minutes.

Mount
Fix the feeder to a post, a fence, or a tree where the roof gets some daylight and your WiFi still reaches. Head height makes refills easy and gives the camera a natural view of the tray.

Fill
Pour your seed mix into the clear hopper. Seed flows down onto the wide landing tray as the birds eat, and you can see the fill level from across the yard.

Connect
Download the free VicoHome app, add the feeder, and join your 2.4GHz WiFi network. The app walks you through pairing step by step.

Watch
Open the live view and wait for the first landing. From then on, the feeder sends an alert when a bird arrives and saves a clip of every visit.

NestTraxx works with the free VicoHome app on iPhone and Android. It handles setup, and then it becomes your window onto the feeder.

Live view
Tap in and watch the tray in real time, in 1080P Full HD, from the porch or from the office.

Motion alerts
A notification arrives when something lands. Turn alerts on or off whenever you like.

Video clips
Each visit is saved as a short clip. Scroll back through the day and share the good ones.

Optional AI bird ID
Switch on identification and the app suggests a species for each visit. It is a paid option, and the core features never require it.

Before you start

Most homes already have all of it.

2.4GHz WiFi: The feeder connects over 2.4GHz WiFi, which reaches farther into the yard than 5GHz. Most routers offer both. If yours shows a single combined network, look for a 2.4GHz option in its settings during setup.
A smartphone: An iPhone or an Android phone running the free VicoHome app.
A spot with daylight: Sun on the roof keeps the battery charged. Dappled light works well. Deep shade means an occasional manual charge.
Bird seed: Any standard mix. Black oil sunflower seed is a reliable choice.
